What’s New in OEFI:
- 1/22/2024 — The 2024 Healthy Soils Program Incentive Grants Solicitation is currently open to grant applications until 5:00 p.m. PST Friday February 9, 2024. Before applying, please review the detailed solicitation information and application documents on the Healthy Soils Program Incentive Grants webpage.
- 11/7/2023 — The Healthy Soils Program (HSP) has awarded eight projects for a total of $1.14 million in funding for the 2023 HSP Demonstration Grant solicitation.
- 9/11/2023 — The LEMER-RP is accepting full proposals (Phase 2) from applicants selected in Phase 1. Phase 2 will be open until 5:00 P.M. PT on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
- 6/7/23 — CDFA Office of Pesticide Consultation and Analysis (OPCA) is now accepting applications for the Biologically Integrated Farming Systems (BIFS) grant program. Deadline for submission is 7/31/23 at 5 PM PT. RFP is available on the BIFS website.

Environmental Farming Act
CDFA's Incentive Programs are implemented under the authority of the Environmental Farming Act . Incentive Programs are developed in coordination with the Science Advisory Panel which facilitates public comment process. Learn more about the Science Advisory Panel.
AB 1757 Nature-Based Climate Solutions Targets
AB 1757 requires the setting of ambitious targets for nature-based climate solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions to support state goals to achieve carbon neutrality and foster climate adaption and resilience.
