1996-1998: Training Manager, Chiron Corporation. (Designed and ran an international training program for Chiron's molecular diagnostics program for HIV-AIDS and Hepatitis C.)

Research Interests:
Mechanisms of transmission and epidemiological factors affecting the spread of Pierce's Disease in California grape vineyards, and other plant diseases also caused by Xylella fastidiosa.
